Top News & Magazines Apps on Android in Turkey: Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of top news and magazine applications on the Android platform in Turkey showed diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and user engagement. Here's a closer look at the top five apps, with data provided by Sensor Tower.

X (Formerly Twitter) from X Corp. experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $40.8K in early December. Downloads reached a high of around 125K in the week of October 7, while active users decreased from 12M to approximately 10.6M by the end of the quarter.

Bundle Breaking News saw a significant increase in downloads, peaking at about 46K in the week of December 2. Revenue remained relatively stable, ending the quarter at about $60. Active users showed a slight decline, closing the year with approximately 886K.

Türk Telekom e-dergi had a notable rise in downloads mid-December, reaching approximately 27.2K. Revenue showed minor fluctuations, ending at around $94. Active users increased steadily, reaching about 28K by the close of the quarter.

Liveuamap recorded a substantial surge in downloads in early December with about 59.8K. Revenue also saw a peak of approximately $176 in the same period. Active users increased significantly, reaching about 55.8K in early December.

Finally, Hürriyet – Son Dakika Haberler showed a sharp increase in downloads in early November, reaching about 13.7K. Active users peaked mid-November at approximately 35.4K, while revenue remained modest throughout the quarter.
